Kartause Ittingen offers one former monks’ cells to artists, writers and academics for silent pursuits. Stays may last from four to six weeks.

- Motivation letter with project description and details of your expectations.
- Photos of previous works or published texts.

Personal Interview
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview and a viewing of the studio apartment at Kartause Ittingen. This will take about one hour.
Selection
Management will choose from the selection of applicants.
Report and Guest Book Entry
We would appreciate a written report about your work and experiences at Kartause Ittingen at the end of your stay.
Cost
The simply furnished apartments are available free of charge. We do, however, bill CHF 200 for the final cleaning, wood for heating, electricity and water. Guests also will have to pay for all other expenses such as travel and food.
