Where once - from 1461 to 1848 - the Carthusian monks lived as hermits, we offer this unique holiday experience. A week/7 nights holiday "as it was then" in a former monk's hermit cottage - with the comfort and rich breakfast of today. In the gently renovated and simply furnished cottage (left on the picture), monastic life can be felt and experienced up close. The conscious reduction of the interior reminds of the lonely, quiet life of the Carthusian monks and creates the true luxury of tranquillity and retreat. A small garden in front of the hermitage invites you to linger.

The monk's hermit cottage is suitable for one to two persons and is equipped with a bedroom with double bed (1,60m), a living room, a kitchenette, a large cosy dining room with tiled stove as well as shower and WC. The offer is bookable from July to October 2019 for one week at a time.

Please note that the premises of the monument are not suitable for children. Dogs are not allowed in the hermitage. In the cool season we recommend slightly warmer clothing and warm socks/slippers. Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant and in the gardens.
