Explore the history of the monastery through ten short audio plays.

Over time, many people have left their mark on the Ittingen Charterhouse. The monastery route gives visitors the chance to get to know these people almost as if they were there in person.

Equipped with headphones, you can listen in on the miller and the prosecutor negotiating the mill's lease, or eavesdrop on landowner Victor Fehr. While playing billiards in the former chapter house, he rather unmodestly shows a guest the beauties of his stately home. The patron saint of Ittingen, St Laurentius, has his say, as do Bruno, the founder of the order, and the martyr Viktoria.

The short audio plays are linked to individual rooms in the monastery. As you listen to them, you will learn about the rooms' functions and history, providing an entertaining way to find out more about the monks' and other inhabitants' ideas. The monastery route transforms a visit to the museum into a unique experience.
