Please support the Kartause Ittingen

The historic buildings and gardens of the former monastery require constant care and attention. Much of this work goes far beyond routine maintenance. The various departments of the Cultural and Seminar Centre contribute significantly towards this work. However, this is not enough to cover the extraordinary costs of preserving the entire complex.

Over the coming years, extensive work will continue on the historic buildings, roofs and gardens, requiring an annual investment of around one million Swiss francs. This leaves a shortfall of around 500,000 Swiss francs each year. Private support is vital in preserving the historic complex and ensuring that Kartause Ittingen remains a vibrant centre of culture, community and social engagement for future generations.

Your support helps to preserve this historic monument and fulfil the foundation’s purpose. The Kartause Ittingen Foundation sets out how it uses its funds and what tasks it carries out in its annual report, which is published each year.

The Kartause Ittingen Foundation is recognised as a charitable organisation and is exempt from tax. Voluntary donations to the Foundation may be deducted from tax in accordance with the applicable legal provisions in Switzerland. We would be happy to issue you with a donation receipt for your tax return.

The exact extent of the tax deduction depends on the regulations of the canton in which you reside.
