The Kartause Ittingen gardens
The Carthusian monastery provides an exemplary and multifaceted view of gardens. The gardens have undergone constant change. This can be seen in the design of the medieval Carthusian monk gardens, the 18th-century styles, and the changes made during the 19th century when the monastery was the seat of an ambitious landowning family. Changes continue to be made even today. Not to be overlooked are artistic depictions of gardens, such as Adolf Dietrich's legendary neighbour's garden and Jenny Holzer's inconspicuous stone benches in the priory garden.
For groups of up to 15 people.
