Tour through the Ittingen Forest

Weg zum Ittinger Wald

On this tour, you will experience the beneficial effects of the forest for yourself and learn some interesting and surprising facts.

Walk through the Ittinger Forest

The advice on forest management provided by the monastery administrator Josephus Wech in 1745 is extremely interesting, as are today's regulations for forest owners. The interplay of light, atmosphere, scent and temperature in the forest recreation area provides an ideal backdrop for exploring this multifaceted subject. These include aspects of cantonally regulated forestry, the tree populations in the forest reserve, the importance of the forest to the monastery at the time, and the Kartause Ittingen Foundation today. The forest tour can take place in any weather, provided you are appropriately dressed.

For groups of up to 15 people.

CHF 150 plus museum admission.
