Grain and oilseeds

We sell flour and oil in the monastery shop, as well as using it in our own bakery.
Production for the kitchen and the monastery shop
Our farmland is cultivated using a regular crop rotation system involving winter wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet, silage maize, grain maize, sunflowers, spelt and potatoes, as well as meadows for soil regeneration. We bake a considerable proportion of the 20 tonnes of wheat and spelt produced on our farm. The maize and grass are kept on the farm to feed the animals. The rapeseed and sunflower seeds are cold-pressed to produce oils for use in the kitchen and for sale in the monastery shop.
